Dear Friend's and Colleagues,
I am humbled to lead our prestigious Indian Society of Gastroenterology & I thank everyone for having faith in me for this honour.
Our society has approximately 3000 members, my wish is to make our family bigger. I would need help from state ISG bearers to expand the membership in their areas. Academic heads running the DM, DNB program can help by ensuring that all post-graduates become ISG member once they finish their training.
We need to build a better association with Gastroenterology societies of SAARC countries in form of exchange educational programs on virtual & physical format during the conferences and short term training of members of society.
The legacy of the past Presidents & Secretaries of running TTT, GYM, YCP, Virtual master classes shall continue with more enthusiasm. We shall have co-ordination between various educational activities organised across our country so that the Post-Graduates & Fellows can plan in-advance and make the most of it.
The educational programmes of the state chapters to be intensified to be more frequent and have a greater participation. We need to have multicentric trials, every ISG member has something beyond gastroenterology which has to be nurtured.
Regards
Dr. Sandeep Nijhawan
